Link Harvest: Why Wireless Is Not A Substitute for Wireline

A real world experiment in rural France where they attempted to use wireless as a replacement for Wireline, similar to AT&T's and VZ's proposal.

This is, of course, merely a single data point on a particular technology. The point is that theoretical speeds based on laboratory results does not really tell us anything about actual consumer adoption.
