Link Harvest: Free TV not dead yet

Despite the conventional wisdom that free over-the-air (OTA) TV is obsolete and on the way out, the number of homes dependent on OTA (rather than pay TV, as opposed to having no television at all) continues to climb -- albeit slightly.

Still it is rather like the Monty Python bit:

FCC: Bring Out Your Dead!

Wireless Industry (dragging broadcasters): Here you go. Drag him off and give me his spectrum.

National Association of Broadcasters (NAB): I'm not dead yet.

FCC: I can't take him unless he's dead.

CTIA: He's totally obsolete and I need his spectrum for broadband!

NAB: I'm actually gaining market share and ad revenue.

FCC: Sorry, can't take his spectrum if people are watching on it.

etc.
