The Demographic Snake and the Election of 2012

It turns out this election is very interesting demographically. Roughly 40% of the population is 50 and older. Roughly 40% of the population is between 18 and 40. About 7% falls on between, with the remaining 13% too young to vote.

This is producing interesting effects already. The next several election cycles promise to be very interesting indeed.
