When my bullshit detector goes up

When an engineer tells me that a networking problem is 'a law of physics,' and we are not talking about speed of light lag, Shannon's Law, or other actual laws of physics.

Your unwillingness to contemplate an alternate design is not a "law of physics." Violation of a business model is not a 'law of physics.' The fact that you have always done things a certain way does not make it a 'law of physics.' The fact that you are using a particular standard is not a law of physics. The NTSC standard is not a law of physics. CDMA is not a 'law of physics.' LTE is not a 'law of physics' any more than WiMax was a 'law of physics.' It uses the laws of physics. There is a difference.

The fact that I am a lawyer does not mean I can't spot bullshit when I see it.
