British Parlaiment Nearly Gives Hollywood Blank Check Over Internet

I'm sorry, but isn't anyone in the UK paying attention to this stuff? Or perhaps my own business has prevented me from seeing the UK activism around this.

According to this BBC piece, Parlaiment was poised to allow ministers to totally rewrite online copyright law without any need for further legislation until the Lords objected.

Given that Labor appears wholly owned by the the IP Mafia, I can imagine what new rules they would write.

I suppose one advantage of our system is that Congress doesn't like to give up power, whereas Parlaiment views the PM as one of their own.
