Tahara Blog: Chaim ben Yisroel
This is probably my last tahara for the forseeable future. My left shoulder has been giving me problems since the end of December. instead of getting better, its been getting worse, and at this point is starting to seriously interfere with routine range of motion stuff. So making time to get it looked at probably a good idea, whereas washing dead guys -- not so much.
Nevertheless, as always happens, when Rabbi Silver calls I generally feel all guilty and agree. So instead of saying "no, because my left shoulder has no reached the point where I get up in the middle of the night because the Motrin wore off" I said "yes."
Happily, the mais was fairly small and the rest of the team was willing to let me do the light stuff. But even so, this needs to be my last tahara for until I get this looked at and, hopefully, straightened out.
