Interesting correlation on wireline v. wireless penetration
Was digging through stuff I missed while at Pennsic and discovered this Wall St. J piece based on this OECD Report on broadband and wireless broadband penetration in OECD countries. When compared with per capita GDP, wireline broadband penetration has a relatively high correlation with per capita GDP (especially when removing Luxemborg, which is reported as an outlier). Wireless broadband penetration (which I suspect is not distinguishing between 3G and 4G) shows a weak correlation with GDP.
Correlation is not causation, of course, but it is interesting to see.
