Unexepected Ill News
Because I don't read Voices in the Glen, the local storytellers newsletter, after the clock change (since i can't get to storyswap on Saturday night once we go into Daylight Savings Time) I had no idea that Ralph Chatham
had died last May. Ralph was an amazing teller, as well as a former nuclear sub sailor.
This morning I discovered that someone I knew when we were living up in White Oak died over the holiday. Someone about 10 years older than me. Not sure what was the cause of death. But he was a good man who leaves a wife and family.
I was not super close with either, but am still stunned. Baruch Dayan Emmet (which, loosely translated means, 'wow, that really sucks').
