Time Event
A Moment of Unintended Irony
I was at a meeting today on the importance of the CPNI rules (which prohibit telcos from using information they learn by running the phone system) when I received this text from Sprint.

"SprintFreeMsg: We use anonymous subscriber location data in our Reporting & Analytics program. Read more at http://sprint.us/privacy"

The link goes to a privacy statement that we are challenging at the FCC as insufficient under the rules, since it requires "opt out" of programs that should require "opt in."

I was waiting for them to append: "We are totally not spying on you. Have a nice meeting."
