Krugman observes that anyone who thinks that the large corporations and other vested interests are going to voluntarily give up power and negotiate in good faith is utterly naive. He also observes that most of the nation knows this, which is why Edwards apparently won big in a recent CNN Poll http://www.nytimes.com/2007/12/17/opinion/17krugman.html?em&ex=1198126800&en=d042060abcb5a997&ei=5087%0A, (a fact which failed to garner much press, which is in keeping with Krugman's suggestion that reporters loath the idea of Edwards winning because it is reporters, not the American public, that want to see "reconciliation" in Washington).
It is, of course, hard for me to disagree with a man who agrees with me.
