I keep thinking of Heinlien's short story "Let There Be Light"

The new nano solar power sheets remind me an awful lot of the Douglass-Martin sunscreens in Heinlien's first future history short story.

Another interesting fact about "Let There Be Light." Heinlien anticipated open source by about 50 years. Not bad.
