Link Harvest: PEW On Online Music

A rather disappointing report from the usually excellent PEW Research Project on Internet and the American Life. The State of Music Online Ten Years After Napster, rather than offering any hard stats, pretty much falls into the realm of popular history. Worse, it is poorly done popular history, reiterating the conventional wisdom. It seems rather foolish to me to conclude by asking "whether a generation weaned on free music will ever pay for it" when online music sales run in the billions.
