The surgery went extremely smoothly, and my Dad is -- praise God -- making an excellent recovery. Hopefully, he will be discharged today. More later when have time. I must write up my experience at the Faulkner (the hospital where my Dad is). It is quite possibly the first functional hospital I have ever seen. It's the sort fo care we imagine people get but I long ago gave up believing people actually got.
