To ponder

According to "The Simpsons," "Family Guy," "American Dad" and football beat out both CBS' 9/11 documentary (which was controversial for "fleeting" uses of the "f-word" and "s-word", causing many affiliates to shift it to the safe harbor period after 10 p.m.) and ABC's "Road to 9/11" (controversial for other reasons, but not profanity).

NBC, with football, got 6.6 share to win the night, Fox (with football overrun then animated line up) with a 5.1, ABC with 3.5, and CBS with 2.7 (although this needs to be adjusted somewhat for the affiliates that declined to show the documentary.

What does this say about America's TV viewing habits? Got me.
