For anyone in NYC interested in media policy
My fellow travellers in the media reform movement are holding a town hall meeting on media concentration at Hunter College Kaye Playhouse (E68th St. between Park and Lexington) on October 19 at 6 p.m. While not an "official" FCC meeting (statements made at the meeting are not part of the record in the pending FCC review of media ownership rules), The FCC's two Democratic Commissioners, Michael Copps and Jonathon Adelstein, will be attending to speak and to hear from people about their concerns.
If you are interested in hearing about the media concentration issues and airing your opinion to FCC Commissioners, this is a good opportunity.
