AP Asked To Live Up To Own Licensing Agreement; AP Declines

Some time back, the AP started telling bloggers that if they wanted to quote AP stories, they needed to pay for a license. When the site w00T! got acquired by Amazon, the folks at w00t sent out a press release, which AP ran as a story with a short quote from w00t's president saying he was "very excited."

So w00t sent the AP a bill based on the AP's price scale: http://www.boingboing.net/2010/07/06/w00t-sends-associate.html

AP responded that "we do real reporting, unlike those blogger scum." http://techcrunch.com/2010/07/06/ap-woot-oil-spill/
