This goes back a ways, but is a well written blog post about last month's Copyright Office Rulemaking wrt the Fair Use exception to DMCA. Peter Jazi does a good job describing how the outcomes (which went well beyond the iPhone jailbreaking) fit into the broader debate around copyright and fair use.
