I Do a Victory Lap at the FCC Today

A good, clean victory is such a rarity at the FCC. While I can hardly take all the credit here, it feels darned good to score a win.

For those who haven't heard, the FCC ruled today that Massport cannot stop Continental Airlines from offering its own wifi service. More broadly, it means landlord's cannot block tenants from using unlicensed equipment of their choice.

You can read my insanely long professional blog on the subject here:

You can read the much pithier version from Susan Crawford (Law Professor at Cardozo, ICANN Director, and generally very cool person) here: http://scrawford.blogware.com/

You can read my official statement from Media Access Project here: http://www.mediaaccess.org/press/continental%20ruling.pdf

And, for those still interested in the legal arguments, my comments before the FCC here: http://www.mediaaccess.org/otard%20comments.pdf
