RIP Anthony Shadid
Anthony Shadid, Pulitzer winning reporter in the Middle East, died today in Syria of an asthma attack.
I met Anthony many years ago when he was a tech reporter for the Boston Globe. I have followed his career ever since. The man was amazing. Many reporters have tweeted in the last hour or so since the new broke how Shadid mentored and inspired them. The 4th Estate is vastly diminished.
